12 Days of Onyx Contest Update – Deadline Reminder

Slider_12DaysHo! Ho! WOW… Yesterday, we checked in to choose a new Condition Card and were blown away by the number of entries for the 12 Days of Onyx Contest. As of this morning, we’ve received over 70 ideas for holiday-themed Condition Cards. Ranked by theme, the Chronicles of Darkness fills over half of the ideas. The remaining half falls into three groups: the two most popular Condition Card entries thus far are for Vampire: The Requiem 2nd Edition followed by Hunter: The Vigil 2nd Edition. In the second group, we’re seeing entries for Demon: The Descent, Changeling: The Lost 2nd Edition, and Werewolf: The Forsaken 2nd Edition, followed by the third segment which is comprised of the remaining gamelines.

Today, we’re pleased to announce our second holiday-themed Condition Card for the Chronicles of Darkness. Congrats! Be sure to check out the 12 Days of Onyx thread on our forums to review the other entries and add your own. There’s no limit as to how many you design.

Please note, the deadline to submit your entries is Noon CST on Christmas Eve. Thanks to Mirthful Mike and Rockin’ Rose, your free gift will be available on Christmas. We’ll have a post announcing the free download and the remaining winners.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT (CofD)

Against your better judgement, you’ve gone to a gathering of your family/friends/co-workers/neighbors. Then someone asks a personal question during one of those occasional lulls in conversation, so every hears it and waits for your answer. -1 to Composure rolls regarding conversation with the group.

Beat: Whenever your rapidly spun lies causes you further problems or discomfort. Whenever not answering leads to awkward social interactions or further trouble.

Resolution: Someone finding out the truth. Something more interesting diverting everyone’s attention. Managing to convince everyone.

I understand why there might be typos right now, but are these going to be proofread before the final release?

Yes, we’ll be proofing and editing these prior to release. 🙂

A question has come up: is it [accepted/fair] to edit a submission if someone comments with a suggestion for it? (Paizo, during RPG Superstar for instance, doesn’t allow contestants to talk about their submissions on the forums.) If that Condition gets chosen, does the other person who suggested an implemented change then get the prize as well?

Whoops. Nevermind, I’m on PST and just saw the time stamp on my comment. Which means the contest is over anyways. =D Problem solved!
