Trinity Continuum Player’s Guide is now live on BackerKit!

Press Releases, Trinity Continuum

>>> Join Now <<<

The Trinity Continuum Player’s Guide is a guide to playing Talents from the contemporary era and beyond. While this book is focused on the core rulebook and the games played there, the advice and rules found in this book can be used in any of the Trinity Continuum eras where Talents (daredevils or squires) are found.

This book contains new information for Talents such as expanded secondary Allegiances and new Gifts. It also contains tips on how to run interesting chases, heists, investigations, and more.

The primary purpose behind this crowdfunding campaign is to enable Onyx Path to create a hardcover edition of the Trinity Continuum Player’s Guide compatible with the Trinity Continuum rulebooks (the Core Rulebook, Adventure!, Aether, etc.). Your support will allow Onyx Path to produce a fully-developed PDF and hardcover edition for this setting and rules expansion. With your help, we hope to not only deliver a beautiful book to all of our backers, but also fund at least one print run to be sold through distribution and into book and hobby stores that are so vital ...READ MORE

Hey Trinity Players! Here’s Your Guide! [Monday Meeting Notes]

Monday Meeting, News

That’s right – we’re going live Tuesday, the 28th – tomorrow as I write this – at 2pm Eastern US time with the Trinity Continuum Player’s Guide on Crowdfunded By BackerKit!

Which seems like a pretty simple and direct announcement, but let me peel off a few layers and get into more detail on what it means!

Most of our crowdfunding campaigns go live on a Tuesday or a Thursday at 2pm Eastern. We’ve found that those two days seem to be when most folks are around to get a good crowd of backers excited on that first day, and we try and start at 2pm Eastern US time as a mid-point time that is neither too early nor too late for the majority of our community.

That’s not to say that the timing is prefect for everybody, and sorry to all of you that it doesn’t work for – it’s the best we can do to give the most folks a chance to jump in at the beginning.

Next, we come to the project itself: the Trinity Continuum Player’s Guide! It’s a fantastic ...6 COMMENTS

[The World Below] What Became of the World Above?

World Below

Matthew here once again! Last week we ran a poll to see what people interested in The World Below wanted us to cover this week, with the choices being the forbidding realm of Longdeep and one of the game’s central mysteries: what became of the World Above?

The World Above captured just two more votes than Longdeep, and so here we’ll see some opposing views regarding what took place in the World Above and why so many people descended into the World Below. Now, you may read this and think “but that’s not a categorical answer!” and you’d be right! There isn’t one immediately present. But that doesn’t mean one won’t reveal itself via clues, releases, and lore dropped throughout the game.

The World Above is, as mentioned, a central mystery. What could cause a mass exodus from the surface to the subterranean depths of the Vast Underneath? Nothing good, is a pretty fair response. But that’s not to say characters in the World Below don’t attempt to discover the truth. Some claim the guilds scattered through the World Below hold the ...15 COMMENTS

SPRIIIING!!! [Monday Meeting Notes]

Monday Meeting, News

Spriiing has Sprung!

SPROING!!

And like a compressed spring, the Monday Meeting also expanded to fill one of our longest meetings in a long time. Certainly the longest this year!

We had a lot to cover, and cover it we did! I’ll touch on a few of them here, but bear with me as I really can’t get into detail on most of it – we were talking plans for projects and efforts for the next couple/three years!

They’ll be announced when our plans ripen – right now they are just lil buds of Spring. (I’m all about this metaphor, today!)

So, since I can’t talk about the seeds we planted today, here are some buds in various stages of blooming:

Sharing the news today that our Trinity Continuum Players Guide crowdfunding campaign on Crowdfunding By BackerKit goes live Tuesday, March 28th at 2pm Eastern US time! See ya there!

There’s an entire episode of the Onyx Pathcast going live this coming Friday where you can hear from Eddy, Danielle, and Matthew, all about what’s going to be in the TC Players Guide! It’s a great chance ...20 COMMENTS

The World Below: The Klo’tha

World Below

Matthew here, following on from Rich’s tease of the klo’tha in Monday’s blog!

Eagle-eyed readers will have noticed the art for the klo’tha show up during Rich’s Inktober campaign, during which he illustrated, drew, or painted a different beast for The World Below each day of that month in 2022! Rich subsequently posted about the klo’tha with one of their original setting write-ups, to give any of you World Below enthusiasts a little more information.

Now I’m going to give you some further information and lore, still.

The klo’tha are one of the many peoples inhabiting the World Below. One of the questions that comes up often in the game is “who has the right to be here?”, as the subterranean realm in which adventures take place is home to native peoples, refugees from the surface, invaders from realms hidden in the deeper darkness, and alien entities seeming to spring up from nowhere. As resources become contested and many groups feel they have “the right” to exist in the World Below, murderous campaigns of slaughter rage from level to level, making some strata ...19 COMMENTS

Paddy Cake, Patty Cake! [Monday Meeting Notes]

Monday Meeting, News

I never get the spelling right, but at the end of the week there’s the St. Patty’s Day celebration when both the rivers and the beer turns green across the USA.

What does that have to do with Onyx Path and all of our many games and worlds? Not much, actually. Our folks will or will not be celebrating, and being careful out there as they do, but this week we’ll be rocking and rolling on our projects as usual!

Now, back in the day, St. Pat’s Day was actually an official day off for old White Wolf, and many, if not most of the company, got together at an “Irish Pub” in Atlanta when they opened. And a bunch of the crew stayed well into the evening. A lot more folks stopped in for just a bit, but there were certainly some that partied hearty.

I mean, really hearty. Yet, there were surprisingly few fights, and the worst damage was usually from impromptu touch football games across the street. In other words: a lot of people were blowing off steam, in ...13 COMMENTS
