We actually started more or less straight away! I was just as shocked as you are.
I feel like you maybe should have had a content warning on this one. Kidnapped children make some people nervous and …after being missing for two months…. well, even the best case scenarios that kid is likely traumatized for life. Worst case….
Anyway, that feels like something you might wanna warn people about next time.

Just as a role play etiquette point, were I in this game, I probably would have stopped things during the briefing just to check where everyone’s boundaries were and what fates were on the table and what were out of bounds. Assuming we hadn’t discussed it previously of course.
If I didn’t, I’d probably be a little too distracted contemplating what might happen to actually enjoy the game, so…yeah. That’s why those sorts of rules are good things to have.
