Why does the Demon Kit include 1st Edition core? when it’s really based on proto 2e rules?

Because Demon does require the 1e core. It even says so on the product page.

While Demon is a 2e rulebook, it was written to be used with the WoD 1e rulebook. The GMC/2e rule updates are included in Demon, but not the rest of the core rules.

It came out in that brief period before we were permitted to have official second editions.

So does that mean a 2e revision will be out soon?
