Who owns the rights to HoL (Human Occupied Landfill). Any chance these will be available for PDF?

HoL has always been a product of Dirt Merchant Games. White Wolf published it for them almost 20 years ago, but it was never our property.

The most recent publication was by Cabil in 2002. It’s up to Cabil and Dirt Merchant whether or not they want to go PDF.

I contacted the current distributors a year or so back (where I purchased new copies.) I asked if they’d PLEASE consider releasing the book as a PDF, and the response I got back was basically “The book was written by three guys who’ve scattered to the four winds and getting them on-board to agree to that is highly unlikely.”
While not exactly the best books to try to play a game from, HoL (and BUTTery HOLEsomeness) were great books to read as satire of the game market at the time (it also fit in nicely with the fictional in-game Black Dog Game Factory and its own satirical version of White Wolf Game Studio.)

Midnight Circus was an interesting scenario. It’s a fun way of combining all 5 of the first WoD spheres into one game, in a creepy way that can also be extrapolated and used to spawn one’s own twist on the concept as well. Werewolf, Vampire, Changeling, Mage… it’s like Sam Haight, but more surreal and creepy than aggressive and bad-ass (if I remember correctly.) Of course, the acrobat got my attention too. 😉
