Every so often you get to do and work on something unbelievably cool. You get to really work on something that’s been a defining part of not just your life, but your friend’s lives and the lives of countless others. Unlike anything else I have ever worked on, Vampire: The Masquerade has defined my adult life, both as a fan and a professional in gaming and entertainment. Like so many people, it is something that I have a huge emotional investment in. Vampire: The Masquerade has given so much to so many people and been so much a part of people’s lives that when the opportunity came to decide do something special for the 20thAnniversary, it was really a no brainer. This was something we needed to do. Many people in the last couple of years have been coming out of Torpor and coming back to the Masquerade because, just like us, they missed it. The Anniversary Edition is an intense labor of love by everyone involved, because we feel very passionately that the best way to thank all of our fans is to go all out and put what they really love back in their hands. I’m sure all of the guys who are working late nights and sweating blood to put this thing together will have their own reflections and points of pride to share in the coming days, but I’ve never been more proud of any other one thing than being able to proudly say that I helped put this book in the hands of our community that loves it the most.
