- Art Notes Prep: Hand-off between production and art. Art notes are collected from developers, projects placed in a holding pattern as artist availability is managed. Sometimes a project might move back to Prep from active Art Direction. Don’t panic.

Hello. I’ve noticed the Exalted Essay Collection has been absent on the monthly updates for 3 months now and has had both no progress changes on the Monday Meetings or any further updates on the kickstarter page since October 4 years ago. It’s not the only crowdfunded project to have been in a particular step for an advanced period of time, nor to have disappeared from the progression pack. I was just wondering if you had any word about it. Thank you for your time.
Still a project we intend to complete, but not until we get through the Exalted backlog. What other projects are you concerned about not being completed from KSs? Thanks!
Thank you for responding. The projects I’ve noticed leave the progression track are less crowdfunding efforts and more ancillary ones, such as the Yugman’s Guide: People of Ghelspad, or the Gift cards for Shattered Dreams which must have stopped because there aren’t any new gifts in that book. I assume this is a similar case to he Art of W20 which was also in first draft for years and disappeared for a time before reaching release, but I just wanted to verify if that was the case.
Again, just to be clear- the absence of the Essay Collection does not mean we aren’t going to do it. We have plans to return to it, but there’s been such a backlog of books that are game books, that an essay book that isn’t about releasing the game would be a poor choice for us to devote bandwidth to until we get better caught up like we’re currently doing. Art of W20 is a good example, as that was another one we always intended to put out and did get to as soon as we could. Thanks!
I was wondering if you intend on releasing a set of They Came From the rpg anthology cinematic powers cards. I have purchased the quip cards but noticed there are no cinematics. I find the cinematics cards to be very useful during my games. Is it in the works?
