Yes, that’s the level of excitement we’re all feeling here as we begin the week knowing that this year’s Onyx Path Virtual Gaming Con is going to start of Friday and roll through the weekend! We never really planned on having the Con year after year, we really only started doing them because of Covid, and yet every year we all have so much fun playing and on panels that when we start considering doing another one – it’s all about the wonderful past history we’ve had together – with ourselves and with all of you!
It’s not just PR and Hype to say that it’s all of our attendees that really make this convention fun for all of us. If little high-school gamer nerd me could have sat in my parents’ basement and attended a gaming convention, played and asked questions of professional writers and artists, it would have blown my mind!
So, in the interest of helping y’all attend, here’s one way to get a sub to our Twitch channel so you can catch all the panels you want: if you have Amazon Prime, one of the things you can do with your membership is to sub to Twitch (for a month at a time, I think). And there may be other ways, too, I just happen to know that one!

We’ll also have a bunch of reveal and announcements of new projects throughout the con, so if you miss the Opening Ceremonies – which are going to be covering a lot of stuff pretty broadly – you can tune in on a later panel that covers a specific line you’re interested in with a lot more detail. And then, of course, there’s our long-time favorite What’s Up With the Onyx Path? panel where we’ll try and drill down on all sorts of subjects. So you should be covered.

Once again the Onyx Path Virtual Gaming convention is upon us, and we have so much amazing stuff going on this weekend! Our Opening Ceremonies kick the convention off at 5 PM EDT with a preview of the convention’s panels, announcements, and actual plays. We’ve got sixteen panels scheduled this weekend, covering The Earthbane Cycle, Scion, They Came From…, Trinity Continuum, and more! Hit the What’s Up with Onyx Path panel on Sunday for a bird’s eye view of the coming year, check in on the Branch Riders, Exalted, and Realms of Pugmire panels to see what we’re working on with our partnered games, and get all the goods on the past, present, and future of the Accursed in our three Curseborne panels!

Right on the heels of Opening Ceremonies, we have an actual play of Trinity Continuum: Steam Wars on Friday night! Animal Farmville is when Pugmire becomes the next Monster Kingdom
As you might have figured out from the above verbiage, we’ll be talking a lot more about our plans and projects at the convention, but one thing we do want to follow up on is that the crowdfunding campaign for Pugmire and Beyond is coming this month!
And like we’ve done these last couple few weeks, here’s Eddy with this week’s blurb about the project:
So far I’ve shared how the themes and moods of Realms of Pugmire are borne out in Pugmire and Beyond. This time, we’ll take a look at action!
Action: Exploration
Finally, dogs (and, to a lesser extent, the other species presented herein) seek to explore, learning more and more about the world left to them by the Old Ones. The Realms of Pugmire core rulebook expounds on how dogs seek new horizons, and there are plenty of them within Pugmire and Beyond. While the city of Houndton is settled and established, that doesn’t make it any less dangerous to unwary dogs. The towns of Mutt Town and Waterdog Port are further from the grasping paw of Pugmire, but they present their own interesting people and dangerous conspiracies that can entice and ensnare curious dogs.
Outside of civilization, the fringes of the empire are even more mysterious. The lagomorphs have their own underground city of Azuresky, while Pugmire has an Undermire beneath it that contains its own subterranean terrors. There are various villages such as Ellendonk, Straddleside, and Wooford, and the much-distrusted barghests have a training school far to the north, nestled inside the Tower of Night. There is so much more to explore, both on Pugmire’s doorstep and far from the reach of the Crown. It only requires that a band of brave and curious dogs take the first step.

Freelancing as an artist is a tough path; it takes a toll one way or the other on the artist’s physical well-being. There are a fair number of these sorts of things that almost every freelance artist has to deal with, like carpal tunnel problems – but the variety of ailments is vast and some of them are sneaky and hard to deal with. In Mel’s case, she knows what to do medically, she just needs help making that happen. So if you can, please do donate – thanks!
As we like to say, and as you can choose to be a part of this coming weekend, our projects are created by real people, making creative and life decisions in order to put together all of these games/books that y’all can then enjoy, talk about, play, however you engage with them. We don’t have a corporate board here at Onyx Path; no faceless department heads whose work you’ve never heard of.
