Wow, Werewolf fans are crazy.
We were fully funded at 10.5 hours. Rich spent the day sleeping, since he was sick, but by the next day both of our listed stretch goals had been surpassed! W20 fans will be getting a Making of the Art of W20 PDF, and Bill Bridges will be writing a new Werewolf novel, the first Werewolf novel — Apocalypse or Forsaken — in eight years.
As I write this, we’re currently at 165% of our goal ($140K), and still have nearly four weeks to go.
We just added three new stretch goals for everyone:
- At $130K (pretending we haven’t passed it), everyone gets a copy of the upcoming The Skinner SAS PDF, featuring the infamous Samuel Haight.
- At $150K, another Werewolf novel will be written, this time by Mike Lee.
- At $170K (200% of our goal!) we’ll be making a W20 Storytellers Screen featuring the Tribes Assembled wallpaper art.
We’re looking into additional stretch goals to offer things like dice, T-shirts, or the like, but they may not be feasible to produce. We’ll keep everyone updated. Keep an eye on the Kickstarter page! And as always, you can track our Kickstarters using the widget in the menu at right.
What would be the stretch goal be for Mage 20 to be greenlit?
M20 is not being done as a stretch goal, because we’re looking at more than just straight money.
Anything we can do to help sway your decision? =D
Since historically sales of Werewolf and Mage have been about equal, our assumption is that sales of W20 will be about equal to sales of M20. If M20 people start gaming the numbers to increase the probability of M20 — without really wanting W20 — then that gives us inaccurate information, which ultimately hurts Mage.
So the best thing to increase the chance of M20 is to tell genuine Werewolf fans about W20 and convince them to buy it.
And those of us that are fans of both games should just shut up and buy W20, since we would anyway? 😉
For me, I’ve played all three of the first four lines, and I want M20 to be done as well. Wraith was a little more difficult, considering nobody in my area played it, but I’d like to try.
I haven’t had a chance to make my pledge for W20 yet, due to not having the funds (as of today), but I will very soon.
New post: W20 Deluxe Kickstarter Update http://t.co/msQaZYEc
Amidst all this excitement for new Werewolf novels, I wonder whether there’s any chance that the unfinished Werewolf: the Forsaken novel will ever be released/completed. I believe it concerned one of the Ghost Wolves (tribal outcasts), and a chapter excerpt was even posted on the old White Wolf website.
$155k+ Plateauing ATM, but that’s only $15K to pledge In the next 20+ days before the ST screen. I can’t wait. 😀
((Of course, as soon as the ST screen is available, I expect another spike in pledges as 600 folks order $X screens as add-ons.))
At what stretch would you consider removing the credits pages, that stuck out like a sore thomb in the companion book? Thats a lot of wasted space in a deluxe book…
At least consider putting them at the end of the book, but before the index… and with a very small font…
I’m rather new to kickstarter. The ST screen is now available, and I pledged at the $210 level… is this a reward I get automatically, or will I need to pay more to get the screen? I’m not trying to be greedy, I’m merely confused. If I need to pay more, how much and how do I do so?
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
