If you don’t back the Buried Treasures crowdfunder on BackerKit and then see how cool the books are! We only have a few more days to go (until Thursday), and we don’t want you regretting it later! These are seriously useful and engrossing books to explore and expand on The World Below!
But don’t take my word on it when you can here it from the dev! Here’s Matthew:
It’s the final week of our Buried Treasures campaign for The World Below, with both The Delver’s Guide and Secrets of Kalm and Kaos up for grabs from our crowdfunding campaign.
We’re thrilled at the support gained so far for these sourcebooks. Crowdfunding sourcebooks for a new game line like The World Below is always a gamble, but we’re happy with how well these ones have done. Thank you so much if you’ve supported us, and please consider doing so if you’ve not already!
In case you’ve missed what these books contain, they basically work as a player’s guide and a Storyguide’s handbook for The World Below. You have new playable options in both of them, along with new Sorceries and rituals, new powers, and all sorts of in-depth plot seeds and setting explorations expanding settlements, communities, and environmental effects. There’s even more than that, and I encourage you to check the campaign out before it ends. I guarantee there will be something in these two sizable sourcebooks to entice you.
One of my favourite elements of The Delver’s Guide and Secrets of Kalm and Kaos is one of the simplest, and something we’re also adding to Seattle: City of Curses for Curseborne: random encounter tables! As a perpetual Storyguide, I’ve many times had cause to go to a random table, roll 2D10, and see what the players meet, that creature’s attitude, and so on. We’ve got so many tables in these books that cater to loads of eventualities: more Kaotic Retaliations, beasts you might run into, strange magical phenomena, mystical treasures, and more. You can build entire stories around the random rolls you make using these resources.
I’ll close out by giving a heartfelt thank you (again) for your support on these sourcebooks. Please do share them with your gaming groups, in your online spaces, and get the word out there while the campaign is still going!
Yeah! Thanks, Matthew, and thanks to all of you folks that have backed or who get in there before the campaign closes on Thursday and pledge!

Speaking of The World Below, not only are the PDF and PoD versions of Ed Greenwood’s Monstrous Ecology going on sale on Weds., but we’re also putting up the templates and art assets for The World Below on our Stoyrpath Nexus Community Content site!
Also, the art assets and templates for Scion: God, They Came from [CLASSIFIED]!, and They Came From the Cyclops’s Cave! are also going up on Weds!
But why are you giving us all this raw material to build our own supplements on the Storypath Nexus, you crazy kids? You might ask us that. Probably not, but you might. And the reason is to give even more options for folks to dive in on our Storypath Nexus Community Content Game Jam!
In fact, here’s Travis with how the Jam works:

I actually do have some news myself this week – in this case, about Curseborne! Looks like it is now a Platinum seller on DTRPG, which is amazing! Pretty sure DTRPG doesn’t/can’t count all of our backers from the Kickstarter, so put the two groups together and that’s a lot of people that we are thrilled to know are into our scary baby!
We’re actually going to increase our Curseborne community by welcoming our new French translator, as I just signed that contract this morning! We’ll let you know who they are and all that in a later blog and/or press release, once they’ve decided on how they want to let you folks know about their plans!

One final Curseborne item – really a warning – keep your eyes open for another freaky vid at the end of the week…
The moths are restless.

Here are the projects that moved to the next stage of production:
First Draft
Storypath – SPU Tasty Bit (July 2026)

Manuscript Approval
Curseborne – Peel Back the Bark (Izzy Novella from Player’s Guide KS)
- Sometimes, you get it right the first time. This stretch goal novella had light redlines, so it’s already zoomed all the way to manuscript approval!
Post-Approval Development
Exalted – Exalted Essence Storyteller’s Guide
- Speaking of approvals, we got a fast turnaround on the Essence Storyteller’s Guide, so the developer will have another chance to peek at it before it goes to editing.
Post-Editing
Exalted – Sidereals Jumpstart
- Which is good, because there’s an Exalted-shaped hole in the editing queue as the Sidereals Jumpstart goes back to the developer!

Today’s Reason to Celebrate!
This is the Monday Meeting Notes blog, and it’s called that because for the entire time Onyx Path has been in existence, and for my tenure with White Wolf until I joined the ill-fated WoD MMO project, I’ve held a weekly meeting for my department/company. When I first got down to Atlanta with WW, they already did a Monday Meeting – but for the whole company. Until that became impractical because we got too big. Then I took over the Monday slot just for my Production Department, and the rest is history. But a weekly department meeting wasn’t my original idea. I borrowed it and modified the concept based on the weekly department meeting held by my department head when I worked in TV in Philadelphia. She was a model, to me, of how to encourage and push creative people to work hard on their ideas, and to bring those ideas to fruition, while still having fun doing it. She was a great team builder and collaborator as well, and we won all sorts of awards while the station’s rating kept growing higher – eventually our small station had more viewers than one of the network affiliates! She was the best boss I ever had, and she passed away last week. Here’s to you, Denise: innovative creator and promoter, breaker of one glass ceiling after another, shoulder to cry on, and laugher of large laughs. Golfer, horsewoman, lover of animals. Until we get together in the afterlife and put together ads for heaven (or the other place).
