Yes, the first 1000 is the number of backers that the Storypath Ultra Core Manual crowdfunding campaign on Backerkit passed over the weekend!

This is incredible for our “system book” and we’re so glad that so many of you have decided to pick it up! And if you haven’t, please do consider jumping on board here in the last few days of the campaign – we’d love to have you!

Here’s a note from Eddy as we approach the last days of the campaign:

We’re almost to the home stretch on the SPU crowdfunding campaign! I’m genuinely floored by how well the campaign’s doing — nearly 500% funded and over a thousand backers are really fantastic numbers!

One thing I’m particularly loving is how people are already thinking about how to modify things to suit their own games. One person mentioned they aren’t into wrestling, and they want to modify Pinfall from Grace, Body Slams from Hell to be more about world warriors who fight in the streets, if you will. Someone else is already thinking about how to make their own fantasy game for their friends, using Storypath Ultra as a base. I love hearing all of that! The whole point of the Storypath Ultra Core Manual is to encourage people to get their hands into the system and fiddle with things without worrying about breaking anything. I can’t wait to see what people come up with!

The next 1000 is our thrill at noting, also over this weekend, that the Curseborne Ashcan became a Platinum seller on DTRPG! I’m told joyously by fans that the ranking indicates 1,000+ sales, so we’re incredibly glad that so many people are out there checking out our very spooky baby!

Speaking of it, there a a whole lot of fun things happening with Curseborne as we had towards one week before its Kickstarter! For example:

Part 2 will air the following Monday.

As the Kickstarter kicks off on Tuesday 10/1, we have several events planned on our twitch, including the launch of Curseborne: In Between Places run by Denmother on that Tuesday at 7 AM EDT, followed by our Curseborne Kickstarter Kickoff party at Noon EDT. That evening, get a peek at the first manuscript sample with Awkward GM Corbin’s Beginner’s Guide, which will focus on Curseborne!

As you might imagine, a huge part of our Monday Meeting today was talking about both SPU and Curseborne – as you can tell looking above, there’s a lot of things to cover (and even more coming that we need to prep for!). So much so that poor Eddy’s chips/fries got cold before he could return to enjoying them. We salute his sacrifice for the team!

Today’s Reason to Celebrate!

Because it is such a weird story, let’s celebrate today that a zoo in China has finally admitted that there are no pandas in their panda exhibit, but that instead they painted panda black and white markings on dogs and called them pandas! There’s some kind of Realms of Pugmire connection there, but I’ll need to connect with Eddy on that once he finishes his cold fries.
