Last week, here on the MMN Blog, I made a big deal about something that is certainly a big deal to me and the Onyx Path gang: we’ve entered our 15th year of doing business!
That means that 15 years ago, I was scrambling to pull together artists and writers and developers (and accountants and bankers, etc) and a website and a logo and, well, everything. What I did have was some licenses and some gamelines I newly owned and a previous schedule I’d overseen at WW/CCP that Onyx Path took over. So, things were pretty tense!
In contrast, already this 15th year our Onyx Path team have:
- the Discord Dice Roller app back up and running on the Onyx Path Discords thanks to Corbin and Danielle and Weston! They have idiot-proofed it as best they can, so let’s hope it runs smoothly for a good long time this time. (I’m the idiot in question with no programming skills, btw).
- the Exalted Exigents Deluxe book printing away! Mirthful Mike and I went through a pretty in-depth, step by step, process with our new EU printer, primarily because this is our first time working with that plant, and every printer does things just a tad differently. We’re going to continue to take this one step by step as we get through the actual printing, then the binding, the wrapping and boxing and shipping. If things work out well, we still aren’t going to just open the floodgates and get every book we have ready for trad printing out the door, though. Things remain extremely chaotic with tariffs and shipping, and we still are forced to move forward with due caution.
- worked with our convention folks to pin down a date for the 2026 Onyx Path Virtual Gaming Convention Con early in June! We’ll announce it publicly in due time, but us knowing it means we can make our plans for content and what we’ll be announcing. Which I know a lot of our loyal community looks forward to every year! We may even have some virtual freebies and give-aways this year!
- at the request of Jenkins and Tate agreed to extend their contract to create a Scion TV show for at least another year! I know we haven’t had news to share about this for several years, but things have not been adrift. Pitching and revising and finding new ways to interest media people is just something that both takes time and contains a lot of false starts. A lot. J&T have been putting in the time and effort, so let’s hope this is the year for great news!
- worked together to get the 2026 crowdfunding schedule figured out. This provides us with a pretty firm skeleton of what we need to accomplish as we approach each entry, much like knowing the date of the Onyx Path Virtual Con. We’re going to try a couple of different kinds of campaigns to get our projects out to you sooner, as well as cheaper for our international friends, and we need to know now what’s coming to prep for those aspects.
- received updates from Travis on the metrics of our various kinds of social media all this last year. All that data was parsed and reviewed by the team and various “action items” came out of those discussions. Both the long-form and short films we have posted in 2025 received great to OK responses across several sites, so while we have a YouTube strategy and a TikTok strategy and a FB strategy, they are all pretty different and why they are different is because of the info from last year. Because the response from our community has generally been where we want it, we’re continuing with all those vid sites. Other soc media sites we’ll be tweaking in different ways. And, as always, if you have thoughts about this MMN Blog, I’d love to her them in the Comments section below!

If you want to join us in celebrating, there a ton of merchandise items featuring the 15th Anniversary logo going on sale on our RedBubble store on Weds – you can see some pics below in The Blurbs!
Not part of our planning, per se, but certainly part of what happens with our projects all year long: we started the year with the New Year, New Game Sale over on the various DTRPG sites and it still going for a few more days! There are some great deals over there, so get in while you can! Links below in the Our Sales Partners section!

One of the sites that we’re tweaking is our Twitch channel. There’s some serious rebuilding and re-evaluating as to what we need it to do and what works, and while we have a slew of folks that will be using the channel this year, the number of programs fell off towards the end of last year so there’s room for more! In fact, here’s Travis with word about the newest show to join us:
We have a new Scion actual play kicking off this Friday at 9 PM EST with Storyguide Krow! Catch the action from the very beginning as Krow and the band take their first steps into The Veiled Society!
If you can’t catch the show at time of broadcast, no worries! The VOD will be immediately available to subscribers on Twitch. If you prefer to wait to watch on YouTube, this actual play will arrive on the Onyx Path YouTube channel roughly 7 days after broadcast.

Yep, we’re already movin’ and shakin’ into this new year, so c’mon and join us shakin’ the pillars of our:
Many Worlds… One Path!
Blurbs!
Crowdfunding!
TBA!
Onyx Path Media!

Today’s Reason to Celebrate!
A bunch of birthdays today for folks you might have heard of: in 1952 – Walter Mosley, American novelist most widely recognized for his crime fiction. He has written a series of best-selling historical mysteries featuring the hardboiled detective Easy Rawlins, a black private investigator living in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. In 1954 – Howard Stern, the “King of All Media”. In 1958 – Christiane Amanpour, English-Iranian journalist. In 1960 – Oliver Platt, Canadian-American actor with many roles in television, film, and stage, and now known for his recurring role as Uncle Jimmy on Hulu’s The Bear. In 1965 – Rob Zombie, American singer-songwriter, producer, actor, and director in the back of his Drag-u-la! In 1974 – Melanie C, English singer-songwriter and actress: Sporty Spice! And last but not least, in 1985 – Issa Rae, American actress, writer, director, producer and favorite answer for crossword puzzle creators everywhere!
Oh, so many happy news! I love that we are looking at a EU printer. Am I getting traditionally printed books again? JEY!
OPP Con is always amazing and I hope to be back in full support for it!
And amongst all the other good stuff: Only great things can come from a Onyx15 shower curtain. 😀
All the best and a grandiose 15th year
Tom
Thanks, Tom, and here’s hoping you have a delightful year too! Totally agree about the shower curtain – everybody needs at least one!
