Actually, we’re talking under the snow, the surface of the earth; far below the surface in the layers of strata deep in The World Below!
That’s where we’re going to find all sorts of buried treasure, but specifically the next two main books for the game line: the Delver’s Guide and Secrets of Kalm and Kaos when we start their BackerKit crowdfunder on Tuesday, Feb 17th at 2pm EST!
Yep, it’s a two-book crowdfunder where you can pledge for one of either, or both, books that are going to be just filled with both player and Storyguide material! And as you can see with even these small size covers, both books are going to be filled with the same glorious art and design that graces the core rulebook!
Also, the same icky creatures and perils from deep within the earth! And speaking of icky, this campaign is designed to be tariff-free, so neither you nor Onyx Path get caught in the ever-shifting webs of international tariffs and shipping wars!
Here’s a message from The World Below creator and dev, Matthew Dawkins to get us started talking about what’s actually covered in these books!
I’m happy to announce next week’s launch of The World Below: Buried Treasures on BackerKit! Our upcoming crowdfunding campaign covers not one, but two books – The Delver’s Guide (a player’s handbook for The World Below) and Secrets of Kalm & Kaos (a Storyguide’s handbook for The World Below).
These books are filled with new playable options, all integrated in the game, so whether you’re looking for new Dawns, Dialectics, or Callings, they’re all present. What’s more, there are additional Sorceries for all Callings, plenty of new Theses and Syntheses, and new setting building mechanics, deep dives into various settlements and communities (some established in the core book, others new), delves into the weirder parts of the game such as the Obscura and the Abyss, and of course, the much asked-for pet and mount taming rules.

For a different kind of shiny, shiny, treasure: over the weekend I received a sample copy of the deluxe Exalted Exigents book from the printer! As far as Mirthful Mike and I know, the books are on their way to the fulfillment shippers right now, and we’re looking at a very pretty book, which you can see in the pics below:
Yep, it’s just a matter of getting our systems all working to get these to the shippers and get them sending them out. Just? It’s actually a pretty big deal until our very patient backers finally have their copies in their hands – that’s when we’ll call this “job done!”.
We really can’t wait!

Usually, I think of this last bit as “the wrap up”, and I usually use it to talk about something beyond the noteworthy concerns and items raised during our Monday Meeting, but today I just want to include a note about the Changeling 20th and Curseborne standard version PoDs on DTRPG in case any of you tried to order them and couldn’t.
Sometimes, the PoD printer that DTRPG uses changes the tolerances on their equipment, usually when they are improving or upgrading their machines. Which means that sometimes books whose files were perfectly OK before get flagged for now being outside the tolerances. That’s what happened to just the standard versions of C20 and Curseborne last week, and I received a notice that the books were off-line until fixed. Which Mirthful Mike did, but which can take a full day to redo on our end – which it did! So, that’s a day Mike can’t be art-directing or doing layout or designing the graphics for our latest crowd-funder. Just to repeat: both books should be order-able now, so feel free!
It’s a drag, but we want y’all to be able to order our books in whatever format you like best, so it needs doin’, but it’s not exciting or particularly creative. Just a little view behind the curtain of making our:
