We’re in the last days of the crowdfunder for TC: Steam Wars on BackerKit and now’s the time (at least until Thursday afternoon) for all good people to come to the aid of their Steam Rig!
We achieved the Kaiju supplement, and electronic Wallpaper, Stretch Goals with a few more ahead that we can use our iron-clad bodies to charge through before it’s over – so please do help us spread the word!

Meanwhile, we’ve had huge news that’s not about our current crowdfunder!
We’ve been working with DTRPG to try something a little different in terms of what sort of books you can order there on the DTRPG website. For the longest time, we could offer PDFs and PoDs, but now we’re trying out a new program that allows you to order our traditionally printed books on DTRPG, and they’ll be shipped to you via the shipping crew at Studio2!
This is just the first part of the print shopping program, and is limited to a select group of books and only in the US for now as the DTRPG team see how it goes and crunch and review the data and feedback!

Gus Has Opinions
As those of you who have watched some of our vids may have noticed, our pets are often involved in our meetings. One of the most vocal is Mirthful Mike’s pup named Gus. Gus likes to be included, and if excluded is quite overt in mentioning his displeasure. Today – this meeting – was one of those times!
This year’s Storypath Nexus Game Jam is over! I think they are still in judging, so you’ll still be able to vote, but hopefully they’ll be announcing the winner(s) soon. Regardless, the real reward is accomplishing a project and putting it up on the Nexus for the world to see (and even buy)! Congrats to all who submitted!

Besides our big news about the pilot traditional book ordering on DTRPG (above), just a reminder that the GMs Day Sale is starting at DTRPG on March 4th- it’s huge!
As our Curseborne dev tam has been fine-tuning the text for the book in preparation for editing and lots of new art, Matthew has continued his Gentleman Gamer videos that delve into all 31 Families in the main book. Some folks have wondered at some of the material hinted at, or even outright stated, in those vids – is the info legit? Is that how it is or is going to be in the book itself?
Well, yes. Mostly. There may be some “secrets” that are subjective, but most of the info is based on the tweaked text for Curseborne. (And besides some sneak peaks, they really are just so “characterful” and fun to watch). Just to share some of of those changes as they may pertain to the Families he has been delving into, Matthew has dropped a few text snippets on our CB Discord. So if you want some written teasers and/or snippets, that’s the place to check them out!
We’ve recently fielded a few messages from folks interested in publishing translated copies of Curseborne, which we absolutely love! We can only work with actual companies who both translate and publish those editions in those countries, as we just don’t have the bandwidth to piecemeal them together ourselves, but if you’re reading this in a non-English speaking country and would love to see an edition of Curseborne in your language, please do encourage your local localization publishers to send us an email!
And remember, the next Curseborne Tasty Bit PDF goes on sale on Weds on DTRPG – It’s the second one, entitled: “Nexus“….

There’s a bunch of new activity for Scarred Lands fans this week! Today, Alain Giorla and company celebrated the release of Sangus’s Guide to the Titanspawn, a 128 page collection of Titanspawn using the 5e OGL and released via the Slarecian Vault. They’ve also run an actual play today which can be seen immediately by subscribers to our Twitch channel and should arrive on YouTube next week!
In other Scarred Lands news, two new releases are coming soon from Aegis Studios under the Scarred Lands Savage Worlds license! Scarred Lands Creature Profiles: Flesh Corrupter will release tomorrow in PDF, introducing another new Titanspawn creature to your Savage Worlds campaign.
On March 4th, Aegis Studios will release Gauntlet of Spiragos in advance PDF. Gauntlet of Spiragos offers a complete adventure taking characters from Novice to Seasoned rank. This book is over 70 pages and includes 22 pages worth of new ancestries, cultural packages, languages, ready-made characters, setting rules, and information you need to bring your Scarred Lands campaign to life!
So folks, here in the US, at least, the real world is just getting more out there. Things are happening in the real that if we had written about them in our games, we would have been condemned for putting in something so impossible. Nobody really knows where it’s going, although almost everybody has ideas, and when it’s weird out there I think we naturally (and maybe desperately) need mental breaks. There are a lot of ways people do that; we’re all lucky in our community that we have games to play that engage our creativity and imaginations. We need that more than ever!
We just had our first game in 2025 of my revitalized Crossroads Continent group and with everything going on, and a lot of my folks finding a host of other distractions to be involved with, it took this long to set it up. But, y’know, it was the best session we’ve had in a while. I think we all needed it – the roleplaying, the problem solving (they are in a first edition module I adapted to 5e and the CRC setting), and the camaraderie were all clearly appreciated.
‘Cause that’s the thing, right? End of the day, no matter what’s going on, we really only have each other. Each other and:

Today’s Reason to Celebrate!
Today is the holiday Dragobete in Romania. Dragobete was the son of Baba Dochia, the main person in the myth related to spring arrival and the end of the harsh winter. Due to his endless kindness he was chosen – according to some sources, by Virgin Mary – to be the Guardian of Love. The day is particularly known as “the day when the birds are betrothed”. It’s said that If boys don’t meet the girl they like, they will have really bad luck for the rest of the year. It is around this time that the birds begin to build their nests and mate. On this day, considered locally the first day of spring, boys and girls gather vernal flowers and sing together. Basically, Dragobete is known as a day for lovers, rather like Valentine’s Day, but it sounds a lot cooler.
