GenCon! Eardrums! Blogging!

Meeting Notes

  • Rich tells me about his flight back from GenCon, and about the new show “Copper.” (Not great, but not bad, he says.) I was too exhausted yesterday, so I just watched a few episodes of the 90s X-Men cartoon.
  • He also tells me about his favorite fantasy book, “The Mirror of Her Dreams.” (Mordant’s Dreams series)
  • Rich asks me some questions to close the loop on our discussions from GenCon about the W20 Kickstarter. That should hopefully up this week.
  • We kick around ideas for future GenCon plans.
  • I recorded all of the panels, and the (audio) recordings are coming soon, as well as a roundtable Rich and I did a while back.
  • Rich will also post something soon about the future of Onyx Path Publishing and White Wolf, once he’s recovered.
  • Meeting wraps up early, as I have to schedule an appointment for my ear surgery next week.

Today’s Reason to Drink: On August 20th, 2012, Eddy Webb posted his last Monday Meeting blog post. I’ll still be having regular meetings with Rich on CCP/Onyx Path stuff, but going forward, Rich (or someone else he can convince) will be handling Monday Meeting notes for the blog as I move to focusing more on the World of Darkness MMO and the occasional freelance work for White Wolf/Onyx Path.

  1. (or someone else he can convince)

I suspect Eddy’s talking about me.

If I get approval, I’ll be taking Eddy’s GenCon audio files and matching them to the Powerpoints to make a video, like I did with Your Game Sucks from the Grand Masquerade.

    • “Ian will do it” is rapidly becoming Plan A.

The audio files are now on their way to Ian’s hands. Only two of them had Powerpoint presentations, but two of them had art slideshows, so that’s something.

  2. Congrats to Rich on The Onyx Path and the licensing of White Wolf products for tabletop games, along with the acquisition of Trinity and Scion, and licensed publishers of other games too. 😀

Good luck to Eddy as he disappears into the shadows of CCP. And good luck to his upcoming surgery!

Big changes abound for everyone in the near future! 😀

    • Oh, I won’t disappear. Just lurk around a bit and poke things with a stick from time to time.

I’m already writing some bits for the Book of the Wyrm, so clearly I’m not going away completely. 😛

  3. Trinity is back… Never actually played it, but as a compulsive RPG collector, I even own the Limited Edition, when it was called AEON. The cover letters have faded somehow, but is still a cool book. So many years…

Also, licensing WW for tabletop games? Do you guys talk about that in the audio files that you mentioned above? Also, I’d love to see a new incarnation of V:TES, maybe following Fantasy Flight Games LCG format ^_^
