Onyx Path Publishing is thrilled to announce that Neall Raemonn Price has agreed to develop its Scion 2nd Edition game line.Onyx Path founder and creative director Rich Thomas enthusiastically has this to say: “Neall was always a vital part of the Scion team, and was doing great as its public face, so I’m really glad he was able to step forward into the developer position, particularly after spearheading our “Sardonyx” System redesign. He loves Scion with a passion, was a key part of the design team already, and knows the underlying system intimately. He’s a great fit!”
Departing Scion developer Joseph Carriker had this to say: “I’ve loved working on Scion from the very beginning of the line. It’s a game near and dear to my heart, and I have every faith in Onyx Path to see it through to the fantastic future it deserves. Neall was a vital and creative part of my Scion 2nd Edition team from the very start, so I feel confident leaving it in his good hands — the work he’s done on the Sardonyx system alone has guaranteed that. I dearly wish I had more time to work on the line, but my novel Sacred Band is eating into a lot of that, and Scion deserves someone who can devote the whole of their creative attention to it. Like every other fan, I eagerly anticipate the final product, and can’t wait to run my first Scion 2nd Edition chronicle!”
Neall Price adds, “Scion‘s been a love of mine for years. Some of my best roleplaying experiences were attached to Scion, and I’m very eager to shepherd the Second Edition of the line through four core books and beyond.”
Scion 2nd Edition is a game of ancient powers that never fully went away. They wander our roads and cities, mingling with the teeming masses of humanity. You are one of their children, born to the magic of yesterday and the promise of tomorrow.
Neall will also be available at Onyx Path’s booth at Gen Con to answer questions.
A massive congratulations to Neall! I’m a huge fan of Scion, and I very much look forward to the new edition.
Congratulations, Neall!
