Dark Ages: Darkening Sky is now available on DriveThruRPG!
In May, 1230, an eclipse overwhelmed the sky, blurring the lines between day and night. What does this mean in the Dark Medieval World? Ask five people, expect ten answers.
Darkening Sky is a series of five stories for the Dark Ages game lines. You’ll find a story for Fae©,Inquisitor©, Mage©, Vampire©, and Werewolf© inside, each with a unique twist on the 1230 eclipse.
Dark Ages: Darkening Sky includes:
- Each story is a fleshed out toolkit for exposing players to the horrific events surrounding the eclipse.
- Play these stories as part of existing chronicles, or use them to launch dark new epics.
- Each of these stories offers tools for running the game in the other four game lines.
What?! Wow! Yeah!!!!!!!!
Is this for new world or old world?
New WoD doesn’t have a Dark Ages setting.
*Yet
New WoD doesn’t have a Dark Ages setting, yet.
😉
Any idea if this will be made into a hard back book?
Would be great if we more canon storylines that drove the world forward. Toolkits are so nWoD. 🙂
Either way, good to see Dark Ages is back up and running!
Toolkits are so nWOD?
CWOD had the Time of Judgement toolkit books. And this seems to be in line with them.
Nice idea, yet a permanent solution it is both a kind of Giovanni dream and actually a Cheat for vampires who failed to outwit or defeat weaker mortals? Anyway, better than just abandoning Dark Ages.
From here, I see this as the last bit of housekeeping for the Dark Ages line(s) before V20 Dark Ages comes out… And while I’m sad that we won’t ever see the Brujah Chronicle or Hallowed Ground (not sure WHAT that was gonna be), the Darkening Sky looks to be a really nice bookend for the Dark Medieval, at least until its next incarnation.
I’m glad it actually happened!
Never say never. Rich T said that they were leaving the possibility of more Dark Ages supplements open if DA20 does well, and a good sales figure for this one can’t hurt either. (I’m hoping the PoD for this will be out in time for my birthday; I already have the pdf). David Hill is on record saying that he’d love to do more with the line, and judging from the forum posts he’s put together an impressive writing team. One of the really good things about Onyx Path is that they’re very fan/customer-centric in their thinking. If we show the line enough support, those books may well get made.
