Onyx Path Publishing and DriveThruRPG Partner to Create Storypath Nexus

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Onyx Path Publishing and DriveThruRPG Partner to Create “Storypath Nexus”, a Community Content Program for Storypath System-powered Games

August 1, 2019 — Onyx Path Publishing, owner and producer for the Scion 2nd Edition, Trinity Continuum, and They Came from Beneath the Sea tabletop game lines, is partnering with DriveThruRPG to allow independent content creators to publish material in the Storypath Nexus program. This Community Content program utilizes the Storypath System that powers several games published by Onyx Path.

The Storypath system is Onyx Path’s rules set designed specifically to allow the sort of rules scaling necessary to seamlessly enable players to play ordinary people as well as mad scientists and seasoned explorers. The Storypath system employs a 10-sided dice pool. To resolve an action, players roll a number of dice equal to the character’s Skill + Attribute and must roll an 8 or better in order to succeed in the action.

“I am really excited to see what kinds of supplements for Scion 2nd Edition fans upload to the Storypath Nexus program,” said Matt M McElroy, Operations Manager for Onyx Path Publishing. “Whether that is new adventures or antagonists, it will be great to see how the community expands our games both now and in the future.”

The Storypath Nexus Community Content program features:

  • Self-publish service for tabletop RPG material set using the all-new Scion 2nd Edition: Hero and Scion 2nd Edition: Origin releases.
  • Content creators themselves set the price for the material they publish and receive 50% of the revenue.
  • Access to templates and art packs produced helps content creators make their work look as professional as the official products
  • Opportunities to develop new content as additional games and supplements are released and unlocked for Storypath Nexus.

Storypath Nexus is the third Community Content program Onyx Path Publishing has launched thus far. The Slarecian Vault for Scarred Lands was Onyx Path Publishing’s second Community Content program, which was released after Canis Minor for the Realms of Pugmire.

The Community Content programs now available are:

All three content programs offer guidelines and assets to help the community release new supplements for their favorite games. Slarecian Vault is open to players interested in producing 5th Edition-or-Pathfinder 1st Edition compatible content for the Scarred Lands fantasy setting. Canis Minor offers players the opportunity to create additional content for the Pugmire and Monarchies of Mau game lines. The launch for Storypath Nexus unlocks Scion 2nd Edition for the program, and more game lines will be approved for Community Content at a later date.

Yes, however, Gen Con taught us that some folks missed previously announced news items so we’re reposting some of the press releases from earlier in the year.
