Take Your Vitamins

Meeting Notes

  • We moved our Monday meeting to Wednesday because I had a day-long planning meeting for the WoD MMO.
  • We both lament having to take vitamins. I think they’re getting bigger as I get older.
  • The Blood Sorcery and Children of the Revolution art direction is going on simultaneously. Rich is looking at some new talent.
  • The physical proof process is a little unpredictable. Sometimes it’s a couple of days, and sometimes it’s several weeks.
  • On an unrelated note, Geist 1.1 is up!
  • Colin passed on that some people were having problems finding the other open dev blogs, so I added links to them on main whitewolfblogs.com web page.
  • Rich asks me about Google Drive and how it changes things. I don’t think it changes too much right now, but long-term it might be powerful.
  • We also talk about moving to an iPad for workflow. I find more and more that I’m using my laptop only for heavy gaming and other detail-intensive stuff, and my iPad is picking up the rest.
  • We talk a little about the Children of the Revolution Kickstarter draft and image hosting sites.
  • Victorian Lost is moving ahead.
  • Rich has an action-packed day, so we call it early so he can have another meeting and then several hours of carting kids around.

Today’s Reason to Drink: On May 2nd, 1519, Leonardo da Vinci died, saving him from having to experience a terrible Dan Brown book about him.

  1. @Ian – Thanks for the tip for those who own an original copy.

Also, I’m seeing more and more info streaming out about CotR. W20 is still next in terms of White Wolf Kickstarter projects, correct?

*Still anxiously awaiting the V20 companion*

  2. What is Children of the Revolution? @Josef: Where are there other tidbits about CotR?

@Ian: You should ask DTRPG and RPGNow to put that blurb on the Geist page, about sending in a photograph…

Good to hear about the WoD MMO too. 😀 Just knowing it is still in motion is happy making.

  4. Nice to see Geist 1.1 is up.

It’s a shame it’s really hard to find the differences without going through page by page with the two books next to each other. But I’m sure they’ll be found in time. Certainly a few of the manifestations have been tidied up and improved.

After all the editing, I was a bit sad to see that a “Silent Caul” has been introduced when they clearly mean “Stillness” – especially when the powers were referred to correctly in the previous book – and that Phantasmal Rage is still listed with two level 2 powers, rather than a level 2 and a level 3. Of course, these are just small disappointments and it’s great to see White Wolf still putting in the time to updating their material. I look forward to coming across all the little improvements and tweaks made throughout the book.

I wonder whether we’ll get a rulebook with Exalted 2.5 errata integrated in as well 😉
