Meeting Notes
- The wedding was beautiful. Everything seemed to work out, and Rich didn’t really have any time to have withdrawal from the Internet.
- We share stories about bridesmaids threatening to thug someone.
- His dog goes crazy as the UPS guy delivers some more PoD proofs to review.
- I’m learning German. Not enough to actually say anything, though. But I do have stickies all over the house.
- I desperately try to refresh my memory on how Talkshoe works — it’s been a year since the last time I used it.
- Geist 1.1: Some glitch happening on the iPad (floating bars popping in front of text). We’re looking into it.
- Victorian Lost: To PoD for proofing.
- Mummy: Looking good. Rich is working on specs for a deluxe edition. Craig is working on a cover/logo.
- W20: Good shape. Rich doesn’t have the fulls or the comic yet – that’s all in June.
- Left-Handed Path: McFarland’s talking a little about it.
- Shards of the Exalted Dream: Finishing up the draft, being art directed.
- V20 Companion: Print-on-demand file being put together for proof. We also talk over some commentary we’ve gotten about it.
Today’s Reason to Drink: May 21st is the Circassian Day of Mourning, where the citizens of the North Caucus remember the war that ravaged their homeland for 400 years.
I’m waiting impatiently on the KS for W20, as well as any info on when TGM will be (can we at least have a date and city to start booking vacation time and flights?)
Are there any insights as to your reactions to the Companion reactions you’d like to talk about? (haters gonna hate, unfortunately.)
I hope that the search for original electronic files for the books is going well, both for the PoD and for the PDFs. Also, now that I’m thinking about it… Rich is getting a copy of every PoD book in every configuration… that sneaky devil. 😉

I’m about at the stage of being able to say my name. And that only sometimes. But if I get comfortable enough to actually have (and contribute to!) conversation, I’ll certainly check that out!

How do you feel about learning German so far? Would you say it’s a difficult language to learn? 🙂

I’ve only been working on it for a few days. Thus far, though, I don’t find it difficult, but then again I did study French and Japanese about 20 years ago, so I do have some foundations in learning foreign languages. Even if I’ve forgotten just about everything for both. :/

My copy of Geist 1.1 is also giving me the same issue on my ipad, please fix this and let us know when the corrected pdf is up on drivethrough.

As for notifications, there are options on DriveThruRPG that you can set which will provide notification whenever something you’ve purchased is updated.
I am quite psyched about Victorian Lost. Is it possible to estimate how long it takes to go from proofing to release, or is it too variable a process?
It’s too variable, sadly. Could be days, could be weeks. Depends on when the printer prints and sends the proof.
There are times when I idly wish that my company would get White Wolf contracts. 😀
Bummer
I find myself hoping that Victorian Lost hits Drivethru before the end of the Changeling Sale. Even if it doesn’t count for the sale, it would be nice to have a big all Changeling cart.
