Why? Because tomorrow, Tuesday the 18th at 2pm EST, the Exalted: Infernals crowdfunding campaign on BackerKit starts with a blast of green hellfire!
This campaign is so that we can create a Deluxe Edition of Infernals to sit with the other Deluxe Exalted editions we’ve published so far. As we have for years, during the campaign we’ll be releasing the full text for the book in sections – and we’ll also be providing a comment form for those of you who want to share your thoughts with us!
Infernals are really the newest Exalted of the previous editions as they did not have a volume in EX1, so the Exalted devs and writers have had a ton of room to create and recreate these hellfire knights. We think that you’ll love the revelations that will come with each released section of the text!
As for what that text may contain, let’s let overall Exalted developer Eddy Webb give you some hints:
The upcoming Infernals: Crowned by Hellfire book is going to be crowdfunded starting tomorrow! These “splat” books (as we call them internally) are always exciting, and I can’t wait to see how people react to Infernals. Here’s a tease of what’s coming.
The Infernal Exalted arise, clad in brass and hellish wonders, to punish the world.
Chosen for their spite and grievance, the Infernal Exalted command the alien powers of Hell itself. In the Demon Realm, they are crowned as the Green Sun Princes, the heroes who will give the Yozis their much deserved vengeance. In Creation, they are the fulfillment of prophecy for cults the world over — the hellish heroes who will topple the temples of the gods. For all the expectations placed upon them, though, it is up to each Infernal to answer the ultimate question for themselves: What will you become, when anything is possible?
This Exalted Third Edition sourcebook provides everything players and Storytellers need to introduce the Infernals to their story. Inside you will find:
• Rules for creating your own Infernal characters, including their strange, overwhelming Charms.
• New character options, including artifacts, a new martial art, and lost arts of the highest circle of sorcery.
• Setting information for the Demon Realm and its cults in Creation.
This promises to be a fun and fiery campaign, so please join us in hell!
But That’s Not All!
THEN, on Wednesday the 19th, Curseborne will go on sale to the public for the first time in PDF and PoD versions on DTRPG! (Coupons for the PoDs will be going out to our KS backers before then). If you’ve been hearing all the praise and excitement for this new game line – Onyx Path‘s return to the horror genre after a decade of shepherding the WoD and CofD books we’ve created and published – this is your chance to see what everyone’s been talking about!
Plus, we’re putting out Curseborne now, in time to allow folks to order their PoD physical copies before DTRPG‘s suggested deadline of November 22 for a guaranteed delivery before Xmas! The PoDs fly out hot and heavy after that, and there’s only so many they can print and ship a day – plus they’re going to be fighting all the rest of the Xmas deliveries – so take our word for it and order your PoDs as soon as you can!
Related to both of the above game books, as well as a whole bunch more crowdfunding rewards from other lines, I’ve signed off on sending Exalted: Exigents to press and Mirthful Mike is in contact with the printer to get the details on how they need their print files set up. After an unfortunately extended period, we’re seeing, if not stability, some common patterns in how the US is handling international trade and shipping, so we’re getting Exigents out to test the waters.
Literally, as it happens, as this is a new printer for us, and we may be able to maneuver our books’ delivery to our fulfillment shippers more quickly than from our previous printers in China. Fingers crossed, as we need to go through the process of delivering Exigents so we know whether it’ll work to then start going through all of our delayed rewards. (Plus, the international shipping/tariff scene is still not stable and we need to see how things stand when Exigents is ready to ship).
But exciting and gratifying to get this process going again! Thank you to every backer for your patience, and double-thank yous with sugar on top to all of you who sent in messages of support and understanding during this unprecedented period of flux!

We need to let everyone know that our license for Dystopia Rising: Evolution is coming to an end at the end of the year, and since it has been six years since we published the main book, we’re all feeling that it was a darn good run. Thanks to Michael Pucci and company for trusting us with their baby, and we wish them all the best! It was a great chance for us to expand how the Storypath System handled a variety of different elements of play that we might not have had a chance to explore otherwise!

Speaking of licenses, but this time on a new and growing one, the Kickstarter for the Savage Worlds version of the Scarred Lands’s PG finished super-successfully last week, and we’re all thrilled that Aegis did such a great job with the campaign!

The Scarred Lands Player’s Guide for Savage Worlds Kickstarter has ended! We raised a total of $8601, which was 430% of our base goal! This allowed us to unlock several Stretch Goals including a collection of adventures, the Blood Sea supplement, and cards to reflect new Powers and Edges! We were able to achieve this with the support of 197 backers as well as the various creators who ran or participated in our actual plays, the podcast hosts who interviewed me throughout the campaign, and everyone who shared the link on your social media. I am deeply grateful for the support and look forward to bringing the Scarred Lands further into Savage Worlds! If you missed out on the campaign, fret not! There are still some late pledge options available on the Kickstarter page!

“To sit with the other Exalted deluxe editions we’ve produced” I know you folks have your reasons, but as someone wanting on four deluxe editions stretching back to May 2022, that stings.
but you’ve put some hope into the “at press” list! I’m crossing my fingers.
I’m excited to see some possible movement on the traditional printing front. I know it’s been a struggle for you to find something reasonable. Hopefully it works out great!
So we’re on the same page, we were examining new printers late last year only because of the tariff threat, that then turned into an actual catastrophic problem this year. Although we have certainly had challenges throughout our existence with finding consistent printing partners, so it’s a real thing. Thanks for understanding!
