V5 Cults of the Blood Gods Coming Soon to Kickstarter

Cults of the Blood Gods.

In all of Vampire: The Masquerade‘s history, there’s never been a book wholly dedicated to the diverse faiths and cults among Kindred, the ways in which they practice, their relationships with each other, and how to utilize religion in your chronicles as a force of hope and destruction. Cults of the Blood Gods is the book you want, if you’re interested in incorporating ecclesiastical horror in your games. This book contains everything you need to have each Kindred in your coterie establish a cult, cleave to a unique faith, and establish domains in the name of an ancient methuselah, being of myth, or even the Kindred protagonists themselves. Not only that, it provides the tools necessary to play members of the Clan of Death, once known as the Cappadocians, then the Giovanni, and now the Hecata, as well as new powers for members of a large number of cults, rules for creating your own religions, and an entire story set in Munich with ready-made characters, so you can play immediately upon receipt of the book.

Coming to Kickstarter Tuesday the 17th at 2pm EST.

  1. This is a book I’d like to see and get.

    Two questions:

Is there any chance of revising policy or finding alternatives to the international postage costs that we normally find with TOR Kickstarters at the moment? I’ve been totally priced out from being able to back for a physical copy on a number of them now. The postage to NZ costs more than the product – yes other companies have managed to keep the costs down in their campaigns.

Will there be opportunities to pick up with Chicago by Night, as an add-on in this campaign?

    • At this time we continue our policy of attempting to find alternatives to our current system. We think we’re close, but it hasn’t been in time for this KS. Other companies do a lot of things, including many of our fellow TTRPG publishers who no longer ship outside the US because of this very issue. We’ve chosen to give our community the choice of paying the shipping costs we have been quoted from our shippers and which match up to costs we’ve reviewed from other sources – if being a backer for the project is important to them. As James posts about with every recent KS, there are alternatives – and we totally support and understand if you try one of those if you find the shipping costs too high.

As for Chicago, you’ll have to check that out on Tuesday (the 17th, at 2pm Eastern US time). Thanks!
