We’ve Unleashed Unleashed! [Monday Meeting Notes]

Pugmire Unleashed art by Navela Studios

Hi, everyone! Dixie here this week to cover the updates and whatnot while Rich is out. As we didn’t have an actual meeting today (which is honestly going to throw me off all week, as was it really a Monday if there wasn’t a meeting??), this blog might be a bit shorter than usual, but don’t worry, I’ll have your updates at the end!

In other news, Pugmire Unleashed went out to backers a couple of days ago, and I’m really excited about it! I’m responsible, personally, for the bulk of Chapter Two, which deals with the badger clans, who are playable for the first time. The team had a lot of fun updating material from first edition and introducing new character types and callings for dogs, birds, reptiles, and lagomorphs, along with badgers.

The book, which is also a player’s guide, includes more information on the Realms of Pugmire as well as three adventures, so please check it out on Backerkit or once it comes to DriveThruRPG!

As Rich said last week, our next crowdfunder should start in July, and it’ll be for Lair of the Rat Kings for Realms of Pugmire. This is both a look at the rodents, plus an in-depth look at the lives they lead in the Underneath, and a mega underground adventure for any and all Realms of Pugmire characters!

This was my second time getting to write the rodents for a Pugmire book, and they were also a ton of fun to update. Any time we can add in some new details or expand a species’ history or place in the world, we tend to jump at the chance, so keep an eye out for that crowdfunder as well, and we’ll announce dates here soon.

Like I said, short update today, though please hop over to our Discord if you want to talk further about Pugmire Unleashed, Lair of the Rat Kings, or anything else we’ve worked on!

Side, note, I’ve watched a bit of the World Cup here and there, and it really made me think of our slogan, what with all the countries and fans from across the globe coming together in competition, so, with that said…

Many Worlds… One Path!

Today’s Reason to Celebrate!

Today would have been Octavia E. Butler’s 79th birthday! If you haven’t read her works, Parable of the Sower remains irritatingly prescient, especially as the book, published in 1993, is technically taking place now within the timeline of the novel.

Sadly, she passed away in 2006, but her books are still widely available and should be read, in my opinion.

  1. My favorite Octavia E. Butler book is “Patternmaster”. I have tried to build the empathic healer presented in the book in multiple systems, but without success,

  2. Hey, Rich & Co –

Sorry if I missed this announcement somewhere, but what is the Curseborne Compact Edition? And I did enjoy the other Curseborne announcements from the OP Con!

    • A condensed, streamlined version of Curseborne just containing the objective details from the game. All the system you need and all the playable options in a tighter, more accessible format.
