Hey, everyone! It’s Dixie here, taking over the Monday Meeting blog while Rich is out of town. I haven’t done one of these in a while, so bear with me if I’m a little rusty.
That said, there are a lot of exciting things happening over here! As you can tell from the title, we’re gearing up for The World Below‘s BackerKit crowdfunding campaign, which begins next week on Tuesday the 17th! Matthew’s been running an actual play of The World Below for Eddy, Danielle, and myself on the Onyx Pathcast, the first episode of which drops this Friday at noon (though there are two character creation episodes up already if you want to hear who we’re playing as). In fact, Matthew’s been running a TON of The World Below games leading up to this campaign, so make sure to check those out over the next month or so here on Lore by Night, Old Ways Podcast, Queen’s Court Gaming, A Bunch of Gamers, and Red Moon Roleplaying.
Matthew’s also done a series of introductory videos and podcasts on The World Below, which you can check out on YouTube and Spotify (links below in the media section). As I’m sure you know, we love all of our game lines over here at Onyx Path Publishing, but there’s always something special about seeing the specific idea that you created becoming real and putting it out into the world, which I think is why Matthew has been go excited to talk about this one. I’ve only just begun to really tip my toes into The World Below and I’m enjoying it immensely. Heck, even my most recent Baldur’s Gate 3 character is a spore druid, which was inspired by my The World Below character’s Myceli dialectic.
In other news, we’re running some games for Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Roll for Wishes event, and the next one is Tuesday at 1pm EDT with Eddy Webb running Trinity! Keep an eye on our Twitch channel, or you can directly donate to our team’s efforts here.
Today’s meeting was a little lighter than most, as Rich was dialing in from his iPad and Matthew was away, so nothing revelatory came about during that hour or so, but we always like to have the opportunity to check in.
There is something exciting happening over on the Onyx Path Discord, though, and that’s Danielle Lauzon and Monica Speca‘s Iron Charms Competition!

Join the IRON CHARMS COMPETITION!
This will be a three-round homebrew competition using Exalted: Essence‘s ruleset over the next few weeks! The Iron Charms competitors will write their best Charms according to our prompts. You’ll have a limited amount of time to submit and must include our secret ingredients. Bring your best Charm-writing skills and pit yourself against other fans in this high-stakes technical competition. The submission will then be judged by a panel of our developers, and the winners will see their work put together in a pdf for all to enjoy! The winner of the entire competition will win the coveted Iron Charm Winner role, a spotlight in the pdf, and our undying admiration.
Anyone can submit, but will you survive the qualifying round? Only the top 15 submissions will move on and battle for the right to become the Iron Charms Champion.
Head on over to the Discord to sign up; you have until 11:59 PM GMT-5 Tuesday to enter, so there’s still time if you’re reading this right after it’s posted! I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with.

Rich is still plugging away at his Inktober art, even on vacation, so I pulled today’s from his social media. He describes the character thus:
Day 9. Prompt=Bounce. Frido, halfling thief, was my very first D&D character. I played him twice, alongside my friend Rich’s halfling thief Newton (“That’s me, Herc, that’s me!”), and he died when failing a Climb roll. He did BOUNCE. Once.

I’m not seeing the Contagion Ready made Characters anymore. Has that project been abandoned?
They have stated that thie Monday list is no longer everything that is in production. You will only see things here that have changed status
You want the Monthly Release Roundup posts to see everything that is in production. They even included a link to September’s Roundup post immediately above “DEVELOPMENT STATUS FROM EDDY”
