Some of you may not remember when ten years ago (ten…years!) we made this happy happy version of our logo and dropped it onto all sorts of merch on RedBubble, but with the flowers all blooming at Onyx Path central, and with a lot of us in need of happiness: I figured this was a good image to bring back!
Let’s have some happiness! We’re happy here, because just this morning right before the Monday Meeting, we heard that our deluxe Exalted Exigents books had reached Studio2 and thus can be shipped out to the patient backers of that crowdfunder! Which I hope brings a little ray of white light happiness to those backers!
Beyond delivering for that particular crowdfunding campaign, this means that we should see whether there were any additional tariffs or duties imposed, which will inform at what pace we proceed to get more campaigns’ books off to press. We’re all really glad that this phase has been achieved!
I’ll be glad to go into further details concerning our resolution of the whole snafu during our many panels at the Onyx Path Virtual Gaming Con June 5 – 8, the listing of which is now live at Startplaying.games so you can sign up to run games. You can now create a listing for a special event and add Onyx Path Virtual Game Convention, or join an event scheduled for the weekend! Head over to Startplaying and book your OPP Con sessions today! If you need a place to host, we have voice and text channels on the Onyx Path Discord for you to use! Let’s get some games going! https://startplaying.games/event/onyx-path-virtual-game-convention-2026

Another thing we are thrilled and happy about are the many Curseborne projects moving apace, including Curseborne: Accursed Adventures that will be out Weds., in both PDF and PoD versions!
Here’s what’s in the book, right off the back cover, so you know it’s fresh:
• Three scenarios suitable for independent storylines or a haunting interconnected narrative.
• New adversaries, qualities, and dread powers for the Storyguide, and heirlooms for the player Accursed.
• A thriving setting of liminalities, Accursed with their own intrigues, and myriad side plots.
Another project that will be out at some point as PDF and PoD versions is the Curseborne Jumpstart – but we’d really like to also do a traditionally printed version. Which we can do – with your help! Our next crowdfunding campaign (which we talked a lot about today) will be for a traditionally printed version that will go out early to backers and then to stores! The campaign is coming this month, actually!
If you are looking even further into CB‘s future, well, some of that is obscured and some of that is revealed by the clouds that came out last Friday on our YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdSFHJaFGO4&list=RDXdSFHJaFGO4&start_radio=1
Speaking of YouTube, here’s a reminder about something I mentioned last week: the Onyx Pathcast is moving to our YouTube channel and we’ll be done that process tomorrow/Tuesday. So if you have any need to grab any episodes before the YouTube switch: this is your last chance!

As he does lately, Travis has some items he wants to let you know about! The first is what’s going on on our Twitch channel:
This week’s Twitch calendar is packed with programming you won’t want to miss! Tuesday morning we kick off a new week with ComradeBubbles taking us Behind the Screen on a new Community Content release! Join them at 9 AM EDT as they work on bringing a new adventure to Adventure! Tuesday evening at 8 PM EDT, Jack Berkenstock ad Doug Hagler of the Bodhana Group premiere their new show Expanding Your Realms where each week they’ll dive into new topics about their game Branch Riders! Wednesday, we have AwkwardGM Corbin returning at 8PM EDT for another Storypath Nexus Write-Along! The Storypath Nexus Game Jam is still underway, but time is running out! Be sure to tune in to co-work with Corbin, ask any questions you may have and learn all about the Storypath Nexus!

Next Monday at 9 PM EDT, Storyguide Mike Athey takes us on another Trinity Continuum: Adventure! Where will our heroes go? What dastardly devils do they face? Tune in next week to find out!
But before we dive into the rest of Travis’ notes, here’s some news from the Bodhana Group and Jack Berkenstock:
Hey friends out there in the Bodhanaverse! There has been a lot happening in the world of Branch Riders! First, we are now fully into our four part series with our friends at Roll2Heal. We have been plugging away chatting about not only the mission of Bodhana but have just started a cool dive into the world of Branch Riders. Our own Jack Berkenstock appeared this past Saturday to talk a little about the history of the system and its journey towards becoming a full fledged system and some of the decisions made along the way. We also took the time to make some characters in preparation for the next episode, which will be an actual play adventure.
Please take the time if you wish to watch the episode and follow the channel at this link: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2740253746
And tune in this Saturday, April 11th at 10PM on that channel to watch these characters get run through a short one shot actual play led by Jack to see the system at work. Roll2Heal is a nonprofit organization that seeks to use role playing to help veterans, first responders and health care workers improve mental health. Bodhana has partnered with them to provide training and consultation to their programs as they use this hobby for greater good.
Further news: Tune in this Tuesday, April 7th at 8PM on the Onyx Path Publishing Twitch channel for the start of an exciting new series called Expanding the Realms. You can join designer team members Jack Berkenstock and Doug Hagler as they focus on the fun for Branch Riders, discussing the system and how to get the most out of it for your table. Our focus will be on casual players and good old fashioned fun as we start a seven week journey into the unique mechanics, concluding the series with a discussion of the different realms and how to modify and customize them for your table! This deep dive will then transition into an actual play series called: THE CHASE as a Branch Riders team follows a renegade Branch Rider on his dangerous personal mission taking the group across multiple realms in a perilous race against time.
https://www.twitch.tv/theonyxpath
And if you are local to Mechanicsburg, PA, join members of the design team and members of Bodhana as they venture to the Adventurer’s Guild for another Branch Riders launch party. We will be there offering playtests of the system so you can try out the system as well as purchase copies of the game, and buy its Condition Cards and Exposure Trackers. Event starts at 12pm and runs until store close (6 PM).

Now, let’s return to our previously scheduled note from Travis, wherein he asks the eternal question “How are things in Termana (Scarred Lands)?“:
The Scarred Lands Players Guide for Savage Worlds, which was successfully funded on Kickstarter last November, has completed the manuscript approval phase and is now in backer hands for errata! If you’ve already backed it, be sure to download the manuscript and give any feedback you have via the feedback form! If you haven’t backed it yet, you can still get involved! Late pledges are open on Kickstarter, and if you pledge now, you’ll get the full manuscript right away!
Speaking of Scarred Lands Scarred Lands Creature Collection 1 (SWADE) is closing its errata phase on Tuesday at 11:59 PM CDT! If you haven’t yet picked up your advance PDF, there’s still time! Once the errata is closed and incorporated, we’ll be preparing the POD files. Anyone who has purchased the PDF prior to the POD release will receive a POD discount coupon!
Hope all that stuff happening, and the progress of projects below, makes you all as happy as we are as we come out of the winter freeze and into April Action Time! So here we go into the creation mines, and here you go into:

Today’s Reason to Celebrate!
From a business that hires many, many freelance creators, let’s celebrate the birthday of consummate comic book freelancer Gil Kane; born Eli Katz; April 6, 1926 – 100 years ago, a Latvian-born American comics artist whose career spanned the 1940s to the 1990s and virtually every major comics company and character. For thirty years he worked with many different companies and then Kane then found a home at Marvel, eventually becoming the regular penciller for The Amazing Spider-Man, succeeding John Romita in the early 1970s, and becoming the company’s preeminent cover artist through that decade. Kane’s first Spider-Man storyline culminated in the death of supporting character George Stacy. During that run, he and editor-writer Stan Lee produced in 1971 a three-issue story arc in The Amazing Spider-Man #96-98 that marked the first challenge to the industry’s self-regulating Comics Code Authority since its inception in 1954. The Code forbade mention of drugs, even in a negative context. However, Lee and Kane created an anti-drug storyline conceived at the behest of the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, and upon not receiving Code Authority approval, Marvel published the issues without the Code seal on their covers. The comics met with such positive reception and high sales that the industry’s self-censorship was undercut, and the Code soon afterward was revamped. Another landmark in Kane’s Spider-Man run was the arc “The Night Gwen Stacy Died” in issues #121–122, in which Spider-Man’s girlfriend Gwen Stacy, as well as the long-time villain Green Goblin were killed, an unusual occurrence at the time.
… oh god that was ten years ago. I’ll go crumble to dust in the corner now.
Tell me about it! 😉
Foundry Support for a Oapsp game is exciting news!
It sure is! For anybody who might not see it, there’s a link in our VTT section below the Blurbs. Thanks, Tom!
Curseborne Screen
you have no idea how happy these words make me.

Glad to hear it! As for future projects…you never know! Could be!
